South Hobart’s new cozy venue, serving up tasty plates alongside premium Tasmanian wine, beer and spirits.

South is the passion project and youngest child of husband and wife duo Kathie & Jeremy Waterhouse, 
a dream that was conceived over two decades ago from their love of good food, good booze and good times. 

Our goal here at South is to provide people with a wholly satisfying, unpretentious dining experience, 
taking full advantage of the bounty of gorgeous offerings provided by our little patch of paradise here in Tasmania.

Our menu & drinks list change seasonally, making sure to reflect the best quality of produce available to us. 

We believe in inclusivity, and as such, we cater to a wide range of palates and dietary requirements, 
and have servings available for any age or hunger level. 

We’re really proud of our little spot under the mountain, and we hope to bring you along for the journey.
